What does Christmas mean to you? For some people it's all about the religious significance of the day, but many would point out that it's never been more of a commercialised day than it is today.
Some of us like to think that we still have a traditional Christmas, although many would question what this really means. It's clear that traditions at this time of year change from one country to the next.
But there are also considerable differences from one family to the next. When you speak to your own friends, you may soon realise that they have a very different approach to the Christmas period than you do.
So what makes a traditional celebration? The reality is that the answer will be different for almost every individual that you ask that question. As a family, you may build up your own habits and traditions.
Food and drink will frequently play an important role at this time, whether at the Christmas lunch, or at other times of the day. For some, this is a time that is best celebrated with champagne and roast turkey, with all the trimmings.
For others, this is a day of the year when it seems right to open up that bottle of wine that's been saved for just such an occasion. If you have favourite products then it's always worth checking the store cupboard in advance of the big day.
The important thing is that the Christmas celebration should be right for you and your family.
